Even though I'm in Brazil, I collaborated remotely with the team as an Asset Artist, mainly focusing on modeling and texturing. I also used the latest tech, like USD in Houdini Solaris, for lighting and rendering. It was truly rewarding and inspiring experience exploring Japanese folklore through this project, and I enjoyed being part of such a significant work for Netflix. In 2023, "Oni" won two awards at the 50th Annie Awards and three at the Emmy Awards.
Oni is a very rich and fantastical world produced by the partnership between Tonko House and Netflix. The story takes places in contemporary Japan.It is a world where the Yokais (Japanese demons of folklore) live and exist.
